The Company
Island Dreamings is a wholly women-owned company, founded by friends born and raised in the Philippines, who share a thirst for travel and adventure, especially exploring various parts of the archipelago. On a recent trip to Palawan, they went on a multi-day expedition and spoke to the boat crew and other islanders, who inspired them to start their own tourism business so that they could share their love of these islands and Filipino culture in an ethical and sustainable manner. One of their goals is to establish learning opportunities for and economic partnerships with Palawan natives, particularly women.

The Boat
The Island Dreamings bangka is one of the biggest motorized outrigger boats in the area. It is __ long, has an area of __, and tonnage of __. It has the capacity for __ people, but expeditions will only have a maximum of __ passengers and up to_ crew members. It has two levels — much of the lower deck is enclosed and includes a __ foot table, perfectly suited for communal dining and playing tabletop games, and a a mini-library. The upper deck is open air, but mostly shaded. There are plenty of spaces to sit or lie down, especially on the bow and sides of the boat. It is freshly renovated, including minor repairs, repainting, and the addition of netting to allow for lounging on the outrigger. Major modifications include: expansion of the lavatory, putting in a flushing toilet with bidet attachment, and installation of solar panels.
